Thank you for your willingness to volunteer for the Social Cannabis Act of 2028. In order to qualify for the November 2028 ballot, we will have to submit 120,413 valid signatures from Oregon registered voters. We are hoping to get approximately 160,000 total signatures, to allow for duplicates or invalid signatures.
The Social Cannabis Act of 2028 would make the following changes to Oregon law:
- Instruct OHA to create certification exemption for Clean Air Act
- Direct the OLCC to regulate and oversee the licensing and regulation of cannabis lounges
- Allow existing cannabis dispensaries to add a SEPARATE social consumption space
- Allow for OLCC licensed farms to host tours and tastings, as regulated by the OLCC
- Direct the OLCC to license and regulate cannabis social consumption spaces at public events
After you fill out the form below, we will send you blank petition sheets and a full copy of the text of the Social Cannabis Act. It is vital that you carry the full text of the Act on you at all times while collecting signatures. If you think you will need more blank petitions than are enclosed – please let us know.
When gathering signatures:
Only Oregon registered voters may sign. Each signer should print the date, and their name and address for verification purposes exactly how it appears on their voter registration. If a signer does not want to print out their full address, recommend that they at least print their name, city and zip code.
Never sign for anyone other than yourself; husbands cannot sign for wives, etc. The only exception is a disabled person that requests your assistance – but the signer should still use their legal signature, however they legally sign – which can vary by their disability, and you can then assist in filling out the rest of the information, at their request.
Any changes, such as marking out an error, should be initialed by the signer.
Only one circulator can gather signatures on any one sheet of a petition. The circulator should sign the petition AFTER all signatures are obtained on that sheet. Once signed, no more signatures may be obtained on that sheet – a new sheet must be used.
